Méli-Mémots: where fantasy poetry meets wordplay

More than 200 Grade 3 students from the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord took part in a Méli-Mémots activity at École publique Pavillon de l’Avenir in Chelmsford.

Méli-Mémots is a fun activity that awakens the imagination and stimulates creativity., Participants were swept up in a whirlwind of emotions and laughter while exploring fantastic poetry and juggling wordplay. Each session was a literary adventure in which words became magical characters and sentences were transformed into enchanting landscapes.

It is much easier and, above all, much more interesting to learn while having fun. The Méli- Mémots games enabled the students to enrich their vocabulary, improve their spelling, develop their concentration, memory and visual perception, and all the while participate in a French-speaking environment.

Recognized for its keen sense of innovation and openness to the world, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord offers a French-language public education of the highest quality in fifteen elementary schools and eight secondary schools in the communities of Markstay, Noëlville, Greater Sudbury, Blind River, Elliot Lake, Sault Ste. Marie, Wawa, Dubreuilville, Marathon, Manitouwadge, Longlac and Thunder Bay.
