Tournoi des Étoiles Hockey Tournament– a huge success
More than 600 field hockey players, coaches and chaperones from across the province travelled to Sudbury on March 20 and 21 to take part in the 15th edition of the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord hockey competition.
In a spirit of fraternity, camaraderie and competition, teams of grade 7 and 8 students from francophone schools across the province took their chances to win one of the many tournament banners.
The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord would like to thank all the hockey players, organizers, coaches, teachers, parents, guardians and sponsors (Laurentian University, Valley East Lions Club, University of Sudbury, Chevaliers de Colomb Ste. Marguerite d’Youville, Desjardins, RBC Royal Bank, Richelieu International, Club Richelieu Sudbury, Collège Boréal, Bélanger Construction, City of Greater Sudbury – Tourism, Greater Sudbury Police, AEFO Unité 57) for their support. A special thank you also to the students of the construction class of Mr. Quenneville at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier who made all the trophies for the tournament.
