École Cap sur l’Avenir Receives the Desjardins Foundation Award for an Innovative Project
February 11, 2026
Sudbury, February 11, 2026 – École Cap sur l’Avenir is pleased to announce that it has received a $3,000 grant from Desjardins through the Desjardins Foundation Award. This generous contribution will support our initiative, “Fabrique ton avenir”, a project aimed at equipping the school with a laser engraving and cutting machine. This tool will allow students to design, personalize, and create objects while engaging in a hands-on, creative, and cross-curricular learning experience.
An official photo was taken to highlight this important support and to recognize Desjardins’ valuable contribution to our project. We were pleased to welcome students from École Cap sur l’Avenir, along with Monique Dubois, Market Development Director at Desjardins; Francine Vaillancourt, President; Carl Dussault, Director of Education; Marie-Soleil Beites, Superintendent of Education; and Lynn Tellier, Principal of École Cap sur l’Avenir. Their presence emphasizes the importance of this support for our school community and for innovative education.
“Fabrique ton avenir is much more than a simple technology project. It opens the door to confidence, creativity, and lasting success. It’s a place where young people discover that they have talent, value, and a voice — a space where they can proudly say, ‘I created something with my own hands. I did it,’” said Lynn Tellier, Principal of École Cap sur l’Avenir.
This project will give our students the opportunity to explore new techniques, bring their ideas to life, and prepare for the challenges of the 21st century in a stimulating and collaborative learning environment. We sincerely thank Desjardins for their continued support of education and innovation in schools. Thanks to this contribution, our school community can continue to inspire, motivate, and provide unique educational experiences for our students.
