Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord Schools Recognized by EcoSchools Canada for Their Environmental Leadership

Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is proud to recognize the outstanding commitment of its schools participating in the EcoSchools Canada program, a national initiative that promotes sustainable environmental practices, environmental awareness, and meaningful climate action within school communities.

The EcoSchools Canada program supports environmental learning and climate action while helping school communities assess, monitor, and celebrate environmental excellence. In keeping with Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord’s commitment to environmental education, the program fosters environmental leadership among students and staff while encouraging sustainable practices both at school and throughout the community.

The Board congratulates all schools participating in the program:

Bronze Certification: École publique Écho-des-Rapides

Silver Certification: École publique des Villageois

Gold Certification: Écoles publiques Jeanne-Sauvé, de la Découverte, Pavillon-de-l’Avenir, École Macdonald-Cartier, École de la Rivière-des-Français and École secondaire Villa Française des Jeunes

Platinum Certification: Écoles publiques Franco-Nord, des Pins Blancs, Franco-Manitou, Jean-Éthier-Blais, École Cap sur l’Avenir and École secondaire Hanmer

The initiatives taking place in our schools demonstrate that our students are already leaders of change within their communities,” said Jean-Pierre Pilon, Environmental Education Coordinator for the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.
