Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord Celebrates Pride Month
June 2, 2026
In a spirit of openness, respect, and inclusion, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord and its schools are marking the beginning of Pride Month in Ontario and around the world.
To commemorate this important period, the rainbow flag will be raised at our schools as a sign of solidarity and support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
The Board is taking this opportunity to recognize the richness of diversity, celebrate the authenticity of every individual, and highlight the invaluable contributions of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members to our society.
“Pride Month reminds us of the importance of creating spaces where everyone can be fully themselves, in an environment of respect, safety and inclusion. At CS Grand Nord, we are committed to fostering school communities that are welcoming of all identities and lived experiences,” said Wafaa Tariqui, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer (term position) at Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.
Guided by values of equity, kindness, and inclusion, CS Grand Nord is committed to providing safe learning environments where every student and staff member feels respected, supported, and valued throughout their journey.
Together, we continue to build school communities that are open, welcoming, and proud of their diversity.
