Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord celebrates its 25th anniversary

February 28, 2023

This year, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord celebrates its 25th anniversary, a quarter century of success and adventure.

The Board is beginning a new chapter and is taking this opportunity to modernize its corporate image and look back on 25 years that have contributed to its reputation and success.

In 1998, the Ontario government created 12 French-language school boards, giving Franco-Ontarians control over their schools. This is how the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord came to be established in a territory covering nearly 550,000 km2.  From Markstay-Warren to the Manitoba border, the Board has made an important place for itself throughout its territory offering a high quality education to thousands of students. Thanks to the trust and confidence of parents, the Board continues to grow and distinguish itself by offering programs and services that meet the needs of students.

Thanks to the dedication and caring of our staff and the commitment of our parents, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord continues to grow and innovate enabling each student to succeed in the changing world.

We are planning a reunion and celebration with our students, parents and staff. We also want to celebrate with the various communities that have supported us for 25 years.

Stay tuned and check out all the upcoming celebrations on our social networks!
