A Memorable 17th Edition: The 2026 Tournoi des Étoiles Showcases School Hockey
March 26, 2026
On March 24 and 25, Sudbury came alive with the excitement of hockey as over 600 players, coaches, and chaperones from across the province gathered for the 17th edition of the Tournoi des Étoiles, organized by Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.
In a lively and inclusive atmosphere, teams of 7th– and 8th-grade students from French-language schools across Ontario showcased their passion, determination, and team spirit, competing for top honors in their respective divisions.
Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord warmly thanks everyone who contributed to the success of this event: players, coaches, staff, parents, volunteers, partners and sponsors. Special recognition goes to Mr. Roger Quenneville, a construction teacher at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier, and his students for creating the awards presented to the tournament’s standout players. Their contribution added a unique touch to an already unforgettable experience.
Beyond competition, the tournament allowed students to fully enjoy their love of hockey in French, while creating lasting memories and meaningful connections with their peers.
