“Forêt des tout-petits” Early Childhood Centre Officially Opens Its Doors in Markstay
October 28, 2026
Le Carrefour francophone de Sudbury and Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord are proud to announce the official opening of “Forêt des tout-petits,” the brand-new early childhood centre located inside École publique Camille-Perron in Markstay-Warren. Open since Monday, October 26, 2026, the facility now welcomes children aged 0 to 4, filling an essential need in the region and completing the French-language educational continuum alongside the Place des jeunes program.
Supervised by Registered Early Childhood Educator Taylor Landry, the centre offers a warm, stimulating environment focused on outdoor play, the arts, creative exploration, and discovering nature. Registration is ongoing, and families on the waitlist are being contacted progressively. An official celebration will take place this fall to mark this milestone with the entire community.
