Place des jeunes in Noëlville and Thunder Bay

May 8, 2023

The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is pleased to announce that it will be providing it’s before- and after-class program “Place des jeunes” for children four to twelve years of age at École publique de la Rivière-des-Français and École publique de Thunder Bay this coming September.

The Extended-Day Program “Place des jeunes” is a tailor-made program developed by a team of experts from the Board.  It offers a variety of educational, athletic and cultural activities and provides parents with a flexible schedule that meets their specific needs.

According to Sébastien Fontaine, Director of Education, “This initiative aims at giving children a seamless full-day learning program. It is designed to reinforce learning and support teaching strategies in the classroom while meeting the needs and bringing out the best in every child. Led by registered early childhood educators, “Place des jeunes” enables children to grow, learn and play before, during and after class in a familiar environment.”
