Patrick Hébert Named the Very First “Éco-Héros” of CS Grand Nord !

Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord (CS Grand Nord) is proud to announce the official launch of its brand-new environmental recognition program, aimed at highlighting exceptional sustainability and ecological transition initiatives across its schools.
To launch this flagship program, CS Grand Nord is naming Patrick Hébert, Maintenance and Energy Manager at the board office, as its very first Éco-Héros. An active member of the Board’s Environmental Education Advisory Committee, Mr. Hébert has distinguished himself through exemplary leadership and the completion of major projects that directly impact the ecological footprint of regional schools. These initiatives notably helped the board achieve 3rd place among the most energy-efficient schools boards in Ontario.
Major Energy Efficiency Achievements
Under Patrick Hébert’s leadership, several major initiatives were successfully completed:
- Energy Optimization: Installation of heat pumps and a complete transition to high-efficiency LED lighting.
- Equipment Modernization: Increased operational flexibility and optimal temperature management thanks to modernizing air conditioning systems.
- Thermal Efficiency: Strategic window replacements and high-performance insulation upgrades to reduce heat loss and maximize building efficiency.
