Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord launches its new web site ALF

May 3, 2023

As part of Education Week, the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is launching its new website «Actualisation de la langue française (ALF)», a site designed to help families and students acquire the French language.

This interactive and engaging website is a free, dynamic and a valuable resource. A variety of enriching themes and activities have been developed to help students expand their vocabulary and express themselves more fully in French.

The site aims to improve comprehension and sentence construction, expand vocabulary, develop verb conjugation skills, improve the use of pronouns, while developing children’s independence and self-esteem.

This pedagogical tool enhances the work of the parent/tutor and the teacher. The many resources provided support students from kindergarten to grade 2 in their learning. While exploring the many themes, games, recipes, rhymes and stories, students can acquire new knowledge while having fun in French.

Learning a language is a lifelong investment and playing games are an ideal way to develop the language while providing excitement and fun.

Check out our new website alf.grandnord.ca.
