Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord Appoints a New Director of Communications
The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Marie-Eve Pépin as its new Director of Communications, effective August 18, 2025.
Ms. Pépin brings more than 20 years of experience in communications, public relations, strategic positioning and management. She has worked with organizations such as Radio-Canada, the Office of the French Language Services Commissioner, Collège Boréal, the Université de Sudbury, Laurentian University, and Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury. Throughout her career, she has led teams, advised senior leaders, supported governance and government relations, and developed provincial and national campaigns that inspire, resonate and bring people together.
Most recently, as an entrepreneur, she has spearheaded projects spanning the entire continuum of French-language education in minority settings, from early childhood education to postsecondary studies, as well as adult learning and skills development. This new role is therefore a natural fit with her strategic expertise in communications, public and media relations, her strong community engagement, and her passion for French-language education.
“Ms. Pépin brings a deep understanding of the challenges of French-language education in minority communities and a strategic vision for the sector. Her collaborative leadership style, extensive network, and in-depth knowledge of the region will be tremendous assets in maintaining the unique and essential role of the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord within the Francophone education landscape in Northern Ontario,” said Carl Dussault, Director of Education at the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.
The Conseil also wishes to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Carole Dubé, who is retiring after more than 25 years of service as Director of Communications. Ms. Dubé played a key role in building strategic partnerships, implementing the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord’s vision, and supporting its development across its entire territory.
