Méli-Mémots: A Creative Journey Through Words

February 27, 2025

Méli-Mémots is a fun event for 3rd-grade students from various schools in the Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord. Over 215 students participated in this activity at École publique Pavillon-de-l’Avenir in Chelmsford.

This playful activity, which nourishes the imagination and stimulates creativity, provides a wonderful opportunity for students to gather in a fun, French-language environment.

By exploring fantastic poetry and playing with words, the participating students are immersed in a whirlwind of emotions and laughter. Each session is a true literary adventure, where words transform into magical characters and sentences become enchanting landscapes.

Learning while having fun makes the process even more engaging! The Méli-Mémots games allow students to play with words, enrich their vocabulary, improve their spelling, while developing their concentration, memory, logic, and visual perception.

Recognized for its keen sense of innovation and openness to the world, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord offers a French-language public education of the highest quality in fifteen elementary schools and eight secondary schools in the communities of Markstay, Noëlville, Greater Sudbury, Blind River, Elliot Lake, Sault Ste. Marie, Wawa, Dubreuilville, Marathon, Manitouwadge, Longlac and Thunder Bay.
