Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord Recipient of a BRAVO! Award
October 28, 2024
The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is the proud recipient of a BRAVO! Award – Coup de cœur from the Canadian Association of Communicators in Education (CACE). The award was presented at the BRAVO! 2024 Awards Gala, held on Saturday, October 26.
The CS Grand Nord communications department was awarded this Coup de cœur for its “Voir grand pour sa planète” project ! The aim of the project, which included the production of a series of posters, was to raise awareness and mobilize the entire school community around environmental issues. Posters under the five following themes, “Repense, Réduis, Refuse, Réutilse, Reclyce” presented facts, statistics and clear information on the impacts of pollution, global warming and the loss of biodiversity.
These posters, distributed to all the Board’s schools, generated great interest and enriching discussions around environmental issues among students and staff. The project has also played a key role in fostering ongoing and evolving environmental awareness, and has enabled students to take proactive steps to promote good consumption habits and long-term behaviour.
“Congratulations and thanks to the communications team for this honor. This award is a true recognition of their excellent work and testifies to their determination to integrate sustainable practices into our daily lives. » says Director of Education, Sébastien Fontaine.
