Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord and AEFO Reach a Tentative Agreement

On June 21st, 2024, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord and the Association des enseignantes et enseignants franco-ontariens de l’Ontario  – Local 57 – Nord-Ouest publique reached a four-year tentative agreement, retroactive from September 2022 to August 30th, 2026.

According to the Board Chair of Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord, Anne-Marie Gélineault, “the Board is extremely happy with the proposed agreement because it enables the Board and its teachers to carry out their mandate in offering French-language education to all its students. In working hand in hand with our teachers, we are able to offer superior quality education and contribute to the success of CS Grand Nord students.”

«Many people played a key role in establishing an equitable and favorable contract for both parties and I wish to thank them for their work and commitment,” indicated Sébastien Fontaine, Director of Education for Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord.

The ratification meeting will be held before September 29, 2024.
