Another success for a Cité-Supérieure high school student

February 27, 2025

Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord is proud to highlight the success of one of its students in the OSSTF/FEESO Student Achievement Awards 2025: “Is Anyone Out There?”.

Aspen Law, a Grade 11 student at École secondaire Cité-Supérieure in Marathon, won 1st place in Division A – Prose and Poetry – Category 3 – Grade 9-12 French.

This award is not a first for Aspen, who confirms her exceptional talent and dedication to writing and creation. After winning 2nd place in the regional prize in 2023 with a text inspired by the theme “I Am Everything They Say I Am Not!”, as well as 2nd place in 2024 with a text focusing on the theme “This Hits Different — The Power of Language!”, Aspen continues to shine with her hard work, talent and remarkable writing skills. Her latest victory demonstrates once again the excellence and perseverance she shows in her studies.

Inspired by the theme, “Is Anyone Out There?”, participating students were invited to create a piece of writing or art exploring this theme in the form of a poem, story, essay, song lyric, painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.

Aspen and seven other provincial winners will receive $1,000 and will be invited to the OSSTF/FEESO Annual General Meeting, where a video showcasing their work will be screened.

The Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord would like to congratulate Aspen on the excellence of her artistic work and her interest in poetry, writing and creative arts.
